Air Suit causes static problems

A flash fire occurred when an operator (in air suit) charged sodium hydride to a small vessel with a plastic scoop. The ignition is believed to have resulted from a static discharge from the air suit/scoop (air suits can accumulate a very high electrostatic charge when no conductive floor is present.
